XBox: Chips Ahoy! and Sea of Thieves
We were approached by XBox for a potential partnership with our product catalog and their gaming titles. After ideation, we realized their new sea faring titles paired perfectly with America's favorite chocolate chip cookie.
On Pack DLC
The heart of the idea was dependent on expanding behavior gamers already knew: that of being rewarded for purchasing their favorite gaming snacks with on pack codes that give them downloadable content for their games. This way, our brand was able to move more product and introduce themselves to a new audience, while gamers got to expand the game they loved. A supporting landing page continued the fun by providing the chance at additional prizes.
Custom Controller
As a plus up, custom branded controllers would be given to lucky participants with select codes, or those who won on-site give aways at gaming convention lounges.
PAX East Lounge
To announce this partnership and the release of the custom DLC packs, a Chips Ahoy! sponsored lounge was unveiled at the PAX East gaming showcase. Here visitors were given the chance to play demos of the game and sample product, as well as learning more about the on pack DLC activation.
